These are the quilts I made for my friends children. In these photos they haven't been quite finished, the white around the outside is batting (the inner lining). My friend thought they were beautiful and her 3 yr old was blown away with his Thomas the Tank Engine quilt.

Ooooo, you're tempting me to begin a tumbling dice quilt......
must resist temptation.... must resist.... (maybe a tumbling dice potholder to start small with....?)
That is actually a good idea! Make a pretty large template for your three diamonds, pick your fabrics (light, medium, dark) and make one block as a pot holder! then you can make another one for the other side of the pot holder. Then you will need a matching apron, and teacosy, and....tablecloth (also disguised as a quilt!) LOL!!
